Authenticity, reframing emotions and being (aka creating) your true self
Often I’ve been told when I reframe my feelings about something that that’s not authentic, that that’s not being me… With all due respect, I think that me feeling whatever comes with no decision making or reframing on my end of experience, that’s not being authentic or “you”, that’s being an echo from the past, that’s being your parents and society’s teachings and overall, that’s being dumb… I don’t want to be no echo from the past, even if I am a bit dumb more often than not.
But, why Is that being dumb?
Because you are in complete control of how you work with your emotions, what do you choose to think about them and how do YOU decide to feel.
And since emotions are smart, as everything inside you is, they learn, and sooner rather than later they know that if you have an emotion of fear, that’s excitement! It’s time to up attention and move forward! And if you got an angry emotion, its time to be compassionate and centered and silent… And you can then start using your emotions as triggers for the life you want to feel.
Or you can keep letting the past dictate your life… your choice.
